Today's list of the things that inspired me, or otherwise made me smile.
- Lost in Translation by The Neighbourhood off of their newest album, Chip Chrome and the Mono-Tones.
This song reels me in from the beginning. I love an unconventional start with an abrupt change that kicks off the song. Not to mention The Neighbourhood is a staple in my music collection. Yes, they are one of the most popular Indie bands to exist, reasons being obvious. They're not basic, they're classic. Say that again.
- My knock-off Vivienne Westwood Saturn Necklace
You heard me right. I bought a knock-off from Etsy. I wanted to splurge and buy the real thing, but its as trendy as over-the-knee suede boots were. Although, I'd never feel bad spending money on a fine piece of jewelry, I may need a higher paying job to justify the expense at this point in my life. Oh yeah, and my co-star app listed "pearls" under the "Do" category.. whatever the hell that means. Even if you're not a believer in all that stuff, does it really hurt to feed into it sometimes?
- Grin and Share It Podcast
To honor my first "favorites" blog post, I have to include my beloved creation. Everyday is a joy building this podcast into something bigger with two of my dearest friends. "Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life." I can't wait for that to become a reality with this. I used to keep things like that to myself because I didn't want to jinx it, but now I consider it manifesting. Ever heard of it? Like I said before, even if you're not a believer in that kind of stuff, does it really hurt to feed into it sometimes?
- Devon Carlson
She's a staple to my daily motivation much like The Neighbourhood is to my music collection. I'm currently researching more about her as a task for part of an interview. (NOT jinxing it... just manifesting.) She exudes happiness through her success and I aspire to live that way. Despite my level of success I achieve, I just want to be as happy as she seems.
