My podcast turns 1 today ♡

A year ago I started the Grin & Share It podcast with my two best friends. It’s a cliché as it’s coming across, and it’s so perfect. It’s a well produced (if I do say so myself) diary of our lives, current events, pop culture and everything in between. It’s like a little time capsule.

We started then and then the world shut down. The pandemic happened and our lives along with everyone’s evolved into something we had never planned. Hannah and I graduated college, Shayla had a year to go. In the summer, police brutality grew to a level I had never seen before and opened my eyes for the better. We moved home. Hannah got a job and moved to Charlotte. I became a nanny. Hannah got a boyfriend. Shay got all new roommates and a couple of cats.

I quit my nannying job, Hannah’s boyfriend broke up with her, Shay got a job at a pizza place.

All this to say who the fuck would’ve thought. But all along the way our podcast kept us together, kept us learning and speaking out, kept us improving ourselves, kept us laughing.

I’m so thankful and I hope someday this could be my full time gig, because I never knew what I was supposed to be doing until now. As time goes on I’m sure I’ll get more clarity as to why things are the way they are right now, and I’m sure things will change. But right now this is a good place to be.
